Viewing Aircraft Associated with a Specific Meter Profile

This article explains how to view the list of aircraft currently assigned to a Meter Profile, and how to use that information effectively.

In EBIS, each aircraft must be assigned to a Meter Profile. Over time, it may be useful to view which aircraft are using a given profile — whether for auditing, profile updates, cleanup, or batch operations.

This article explains how to view the list of aircraft currently assigned to a Meter Profile, and how to use that information effectively.

📘 For more background on why Meter Profiles matter, see Understanding How Meter Profiles Work.

How to View Assigned Aircraft

  1. Go to Config > Meter Profiles.
  2. Select a specific Meter Profile.
  3. Click into the Aircraft tab.

This tab will show a list of all aircraft currently assigned to that profile. You’ll see details such as:

  • Tail Number
  • Make/Model
  • Year Built

💡 This list updates dynamically as aircraft are created or reassigned.

Common Use Cases

  • Audit Assignments: Confirm aircraft are using the intended Meter Profile, especially after onboarding or import.
  • Review Usage Before Editing: If you plan to modify or retire a Meter Profile, check how many aircraft are actively using it.
  • Fleet Management: See how profile usage varies across your customer base or internal departments.

How to Change a Meter Profile on an Aircraft

To change an aircraft’s assigned Meter Profile:

  1. Go to Modules > Aircraft.
  2. Select the aircraft.
  3. Click into the Main Info tab.
  4. Use the Meter Profile dropdown to select a new profile.
  5. Click Save.

⚠️ When changing the Meter Profile, any meter readings that contain existing data will need to be migrated to the new profile. If data exists within a meter reading but are not mapped to the new profile, EBIS will present an error and the Meter Profile will not be switched.

To get past this, create that same meter reading in the new profile and map it during the Change Meter Profile process. If you wish to delete this specific meter reading after the change, you can do so.

⚠️ Changing the Meter Profile will alter which readings are tracked and displayed. Be sure the new profile aligns with the aircraft's actual tracking needs.
