Technicians can request parts for stock from a work order by using a shop work order
You can create a shop work order and request parts to this, and then the parts will be received into stock.
To do this:
- Create a tail number called "Shop" or something similar
- In the tail number, set the Override Stock Room to be your primary stock room (or whatever stock room you'd like).
- Create a new work order for this "Shop" tail number work order and add parts to it. These parts will appear on the outstanding parts screen.
- Add the parts to the necessary P/Os. When the parts are added to the P/O, and ultimately received, the destination will ultimately go to the stock room you specified in the aircraft "override stock room" field.
