Navigating the Compliance Module (Maintenance Tracking)
This article explains how to view and interact with Compliance Items at both the individual aircraft level and across your fleet, with tips on navigation, filters, and reporting.
The Compliance Module in EBIS serves as a centralized workspace for tracking recurring inspections, life-limited components, and calendar or usage-based maintenance across your fleet. Whether managing a single aircraft or dozens, the module provides a simple but powerful interface to filter, sort, and report on compliance tasks.
This article explains how to view and interact with Compliance Items at both the individual aircraft level and across your fleet, with tips on navigation, filters, and reporting.
Viewing Compliance Items on an Aircraft
To view compliance items tied to a specific tail number:
- Go to the Aircraft Module
- Click into a specific aircraft
- Select the Compliance tab on the left
Here, you’ll see:
- Compliance Type
- Item Name and Item Number (ATA code)
- Part Number and Serial Number (if applicable)
- Start/Install Date
- Remaining hours, cycles, landings, and days until due
- Status (Overdue, Impending, Upcoming, Not Applicable)
- Open Work Order links for any items already added to a W.O.
💡 You can click any column header to sort by that field — for example, sort by "Days Remaining" to prioritize planning.
Built-in Filters:
- Filter by Compliance Type (e.g., Airframe, Engine)
- Filter by Status (e.g., Overdue, Upcoming)
Quick Actions:
- Click Print Compliance List (PDF) to generate a print-friendly summary
- Use Export to Excel for deeper analysis or integration with other systems
Viewing Compliance Items Across a Fleet
To view compliance activity across all aircraft in your organization:

You’ll now see a fleet-wide grid including:
- Tail Number
- Make & Model
- Compliance Type
- Item Name and Item Number (ATA Code)
- Part Number and Serial Number
- Start/Install Date
- Due intervals and current remaining values (hours, days, cycles, etc.)
Fleet Filters:
- Filter by Compliance Type
- Filter by Status
- Filter by Aircraft Class (based on class setting in the aircraft’s Main Info tab)
Output Options:
- Click Print Compliance List (PDF) to export a snapshot
- Click Export to download a full list in Excel
This view is especially helpful for:
- Directors of Maintenance overseeing large fleets
- Flight schools managing dozens of trainers
- Aircraft managers or customer support teams scheduling upcoming visits
Accessing Compliance Reports
From either the individual aircraft view or fleet-wide view:
- Go to the Reports tab
- Select from:
- Compliance Listing Report – Shows all compliance items
- Upcoming Compliance Reports – Shows what’s coming due soon (filtered by type)
- Compliance – Airframe/Engine/Inspection Reports – Filtered by Reporting Type
These reports are ideal for preparing quotes, audits, and internal planning meetings.
