FAA Database

EBIS can access the FAA Aircraft Registration Number Database to import aircraft details when info does not yet exist in the Aircraft Module

Introduction

If the registration number the user entered to create a new Work Order is not in EBIS, it will go out and check the FAA database and ask the user if the information retrieved was correct. If so, EBIS will add basic information to the customer and aircraft section. This feature will only work if the user has the “add” customer access privilege.

  • A/C serial number
  • A/C year
  • A/C make
  • A/C model
  • Customer Info

NOTE:

  • This can be fully disabled from Config > All City Options > Aircraft Options > "Disable FAA database integration.
  • User Profiles can also have this disabled from Config > User Profiles > Access Levels > (section: Aircraft) > "Do not allow add/edits based on FAA db info"

Find an Aircraft Record from the FAA Database

1.) If a registration number is not found in the current list when creating a work order, select Find in FAA Database

2.) EBIS will find the registration number in the FAA Database and automatically bring over associated Make, Model, Year, Serial Number, and Customer. Select the appropriate Meter Profile from the dropdown and then Add and Close.

3.) The Aircraft Info has now been added to the Aircraft Module. Use the Pop-Out Icon to go directly to the new Aircraft Record. (View & Edit as needed)

4.) From the Aircraft Record, the Pop-Out Icon can be used to go directly to the Customer Record. (View & Edit as needed)

Otherwise, select the appropriate fields and continue creating the work order.
