4 - Importing EBIS 5 data to Quickbooks with Transaction Pro

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Prerequisites

  • Download and extract EBIS supplied template mapping files from EBIS 5 QuickBooks export.

  • Ensure files are placed in the Transaction Pro Importer 8.4 directory (usually found in Documents).

3. Opening Transaction Pro

4. Selecting the Import File

  • Navigate to the "Select Your File Source" prompt.

  • Click "Browse" to find the downloaded/exported EBIS file.

  • Identify the desired import type from the dropdown menu (e.g., select "Customer List").

5. Previewing the Data

  • Review the basic preview of the data to confirm the correct import file is selected.

  • Click "Next" to proceed.

6. Mapping the Data

  • Assign fields from the EBIS export to relevant fields in QuickBooks.

  • Options:

    • Manual mapping field by field.

    • Load pre-saved template mapping files provided below.

7. Reviewing Data Mapping

  • Review the data mapping to ensure accuracy.

  • Click "Next" to proceed.

8. Configuring QuickBooks Item Settings

  • Configure how Transaction Pro will create new items under various categories and accounts.

  • Select item type, relevant account, and tax code (if applicable).

9. Completing the Import

  • Click "Finish" to complete the import process.

  • Confirmation prompt will appear indicating the import is complete.

10. Final Review

  • Return to QuickBooks to review the imported data and ensure it appears as expected.
